Friday afternoon, and I'm walking home from the school bus stop, about half a mile away from my house. Every house I pass looks the same. They're all the same distance from the road, built the same way. If you've been in one house, then you know 33.333 percent of the other houses lay outs. If you been in all three models of the houses in my neighborhood, then you know how each how looks inside. You know that there's probably at least 5 bedrooms. Some are used as bonus rooms, or playrooms. You'd know that the kitchen, dining room, and living room all  were opened up to each other, connected by archways and a hallway.

The only way I knew where my house was, was the number, and by the flowers at the door.

When I first moved in with my family back in 7th grade, I was always afraid that someday I wouldn't be paying attention and I would accidentally walk into a neighbor's house. My senior year, I was able to tell that it was my house by my 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse.

Unfortunately I was not able to drive it to school, because when parking passes were assigned I did not have a car, nor did I have the 120 dollars for the parking pass. So I had to ride the bus to school. On the plus side, I saved gas.

I patted my car as I walked passed it and up to my front door, where I had to search my purse for the tiny multi-colored key that my mother got me when we moved in.

I dropped my book bag and hunted through the kitchen for some food. I pounced on the crackers and cheese I found in the refridgerator, and went up to my room with a can of soda.

Closing the door behind me, I turned on Hurt, a band that I had fallen in love with my sophomore year, and let the calm, but loud music wash over me as I munched on my snack, and worked on my homework.

~~

A few hours later and I had fallen asleep on my bed, only to be awaken by my part time boyfriend, part time best friend.

" Hey Anthea?" Calder said on the other end of my phone.

"Yesmmmmmm?" I mumbled back into my pillow slash phone.

"Are we still hanging out tonight at my house, or am I suppose to come to yours?" he asked politely. Obviously there was something else going on that I forget about.

"Uhhh...wait what?"

"I thought you were coming over tonight" he said, slightly hurt.

"Shit!" I bolted up right and looked at the alarm on my night stand. It was 7:26pm, I was suppose to be at his house an hour and twenty-six minutes ago to be exact.  "Oh man Cal! I'm so sorry... I fell asleep, and then yeah I'm so sorry"

"It's ok, but are you still coming over? 'Cause my mom needs to know how much food to make"

"Yeah yeah yeah, I'll be there in ten minutes, kay?"

"Yup! Byeas" He ended the call, and I was left sitting on my bed in the fading daylight with less then five minute to get ready.
