From Here To There

Have you ever fallen in love with someone
or something so much
that you felt like you had lived it
in a past life or something?
Have you felt that deep in your bones
you were meant to be with that person
or in that area?

I found this place
I think I dreamed of it before.
I felt like I just belonged there
that the land
the sky
the earth, clouds,
rain
thunder
everything was calling to me.
It was asking me to stay
but I had to deny the urge.
I felt like I wanted to grow old there
even though I am young
and know nothing of the world yet.
I felt like it was going to be my home
and that every where I lived before
was not where I belonged.

Maybe I did live there in a past life
maybe the land did call to me
maybe I will live there until I get old.
But until then
I linger here in a transcendental place
waiting to go from one place to another
and I can't wait until that happens.
