Amo te

I can't exactly explain,
why I adore him so.
Why I want to,
create Latin sentences,
French sentences,
anything to say
Amo te
Je t'aime
I love you.

He isn't that great,
he isn't Mr. Perfect.
He's weird,
he's out there.
He's an artist,
who loves daring sports.

But he's exciting!
He's like nothing I've ever seen before.
I can't put a label on him,
like I do to so many others (Yes,
I'm guilty of labeling,
because it makes my world easy)

I tell him,
every time I see him,
before throwing my arms around him,
and kissing him like I haven't seen him,
in more than two years,
when it's actually only been a week,
that he's like,
Christmas.
Something that is,
so hard to wait for,
because I'm such a little kid.

And it's true,
I can't sleep the night before,
I know I'm going to see him,
because I can't wait.
Even though,
it's always only been a week.

And,
he's so much different then,
what I've ever had before,
a different taste,
a different flavor for sure.
He makes me,
feel so much different then,
the obsession I've had before,
the naive love I've experienced,
and completely adored.

He has his faults,
not always on time,
doesn't call every day.
But I'm not perfect either.
So I don't expect too much.

But the thing of the matter is,
I love him,
faults and all.
And I'm pretty sure,
he loves me,
faults and all as well.
